• A key challenge to reduce the burden of preventable disease for all is to understand the interplay between environment, people, biology, and psychology surrounding key risk health behaviors. These factors operate across different scales and call for multimodal approaches.

  • Digital data (e.g., from smartphones and wearables) and neuroimaging can be combined to reveal individual and shared correlates of thoughts, feelings, influences, and behaviors in real-world settings; and to help build more precise diagnostic tools and health interventions. My research takes on this interdisciplinary perspective to study the following questions:

What happens in human brain when undergoing psychological interventions,
and what mechanisms are associated with behavior change?

How do social interactions, and how we think about others,
relate to health-related social influence processes in daily life?

How to apply neural and social insights to develop
diagnostic tools and digital interventions that promote health and well-being?
